Perhaps art offers a reflection of man's (loose term sister) deeply held but oft-denied notions of self-importance? but then why are men more frequently the artists? Art is grandiose isn't it and oh how it makes us all shine by association? Commodified its worth now weighed in currency not potential for creating insight? Art creates insight, insight creates art?? Art, like 'Cash in the Attic', is a reflection of all we are or might become...vain, possessive, greedy - noble-minded, enlightened and self-less. Sadly Art is largely not for real but then neither are we/am i. ho hum. Is the suicide bomber an artist? Well he means it atleast.
